Spring Finale!

This week we ended our spring semester, and we found ways to celebrate an amazing school year every single day! Our last day of school was a Family Fun Day in the water. We fished, splashed, squished water beads, poured, sailed, and sifted in all of it's sensory glory.

We remembered good times and savored early friendships.

Next week, summer school starts with even more amazing adventures.  <3

Mud Day: Success!

International Mud Day is a real thing.  And we REALLY celebrated here at Harmony's House!  (Thanks to C. Tweedy for most of these awesome pictures!)  The perfect mud is a mixture of clay, dirt, soil, and water.  It was great for painting the climbers and playhouse, making "mud brownies" and "cupcakes" with "crushed Oreo topping," painting our bodies, and making super slick mud slides!

Mud Kitchens, Water Play, and Farewells

To send off our Friend "Bread" in a celebratory fashion, we spent our day outside making mud pies and splashing around!  We will really miss our friend while she travels during the summer, so we wanted to do something super fun one last time with her before her trip.  We had a blast!

Family Fun Day- Halloween Style

Wow we had a blast today at our last Family Fun Day of 2018!  Here's some of the ways we made our Halloween party rock!
  • We wore costumes
  • We used two explore tables: one had pumpkin pie spice rice with spoons, cauldrons, pumpkins and skeletons, and the second one had water beads, pipettes, insects, and eyeballs
  • We had two art activities: eyeball (bouncy ball) rolling in paint, and contact paper with Halloween colors, q-tip bones, googly eyes, and a giant 'H'
  • We had snacks with funny names like "Melted Ghost" water, "Goblin booger" raisins, "Bones" veggie straws, and more
  • We had a Haunted House tunnel to get from room to room
  • We had a photo booth
  • We played in all the Areas
  • We invited family members to join in our fun
That is the recipe for a perfect Halloween party!  Enjoy the pictures!
