What better time to study magnets than in February? <3 Here is the box Ms. Harmony prepared for magnetic observations. One side of the tray has magnet wands and horseshoe magnets, and the other side has a mish-mash of random objects. Some objects are magnetic, and some are not.
The children were encouraged to test out different items to see which had magnetic properties. Here, Friend "S" discovered that the circles could transfer the "magnetic power" to form chains of circles that are otherwise not magnets if left alone. Another observation that was made was that doubling up the magnet wands created a stronger magnet. The magnetic power increased in strength!
